Description

Football star Elroy "Crazylegs" Hirsch autographed his photo for the Tacoma Athletic Commission. Hirsch was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1968 and the College Football Hall of Fame in 1974. Hirsch was a halfback and end for the Chicago Rockets (1946-48) and the Los Angeles Rams (1949-57), and also served as general manager for the Rams from 1960-69. Hrsch was a three-time Pro Bowl selection and a two-time first team All-Pro player. Hirsch played in college at Wisconsin and Michigan, returning to the Badgers as athletic director from 1969-87. During the 1943-44 academic year, Hirsch became the first Michigan athlete to letter in four sports in one academic year (football, basketball, track and baseball).
