Description

Football official Dan Inveen was a basketball and track star at Stadium High School in Tacoma, finishing third in the high jump at the state meet. He went on to play with honor at the College of Puget Sound (now the University of Puget Sound) graduating in 1953. Inveen taught in the Tacoma School District from 1964-75 and was Wilson High School’s boys basketball coach and track coach. Inveen became the district’s athletic director and was inducted into the Washington State Athletic Directors Hall of Fame in 1990. Inveen also had a 34-year career as a football official, and was a back judge for the 1980 Rose Bowl.
