Roger and Carolyn Erickson donated this advertising card from The Sporting News (TSN) and The Complete Hockey Book 1991-92. The Sporting News was one of the most renowned sports tablet-style print magazines and was originally established in 1886 by Al Spink and remained in the Spink family for 91 years. It became the dominant weekly publication covering baseball (known as the Baseball Bible), football, basketball and hockey, among others, in America. TSN printed a new issue every week until 2008 when it switched to a biweekly schedule. The print publication eventually ended in 2012 and switched to digital only.Lexicon
