Wilhelmsen, a Puyallup native who graduated from Puyallup High School, placed seventh in the women's javelin and eighth in the discus at the 1936 Olympics.
She placed fourth in the javelin at the 1932 United States Olympic Trials, missing an Olympic berth by one spot.
