Description

Ken Still and George Lanning stand on a foggy golf course, smiling for a photo taken in 1985. Still had a long and successful run on the PGA, playing on the tour for 23 years from 1960 to 1983. He won three PGA tournaments, winning the Florida Citrus Open, the Greater Milwaukee Open and the Kaiser Open. Partnering with Gene Little, Still won the CBS Golf Classic in 1970. That same year, Still placed fifth at the U.S. Open, which was his best finish at a major PGA event. He played in six Masters, 13 U.S. Opens and seven PGA Championships. After playing in the PGA, Still played another 11 years in the Senior PGA. Following his 20-year career in the US Air Force, Lanning began his second career as an assistant golf pro at Oakbrook Golf and Country Club in Tacoma in 1969.
