Description

Detroit, Michigan, native Al Iafrate played 13 seasons in the NHL, a long-lasting career for a the 6-foot-3 defenseman. Iafrate, pictured in his NHL Pro Set trading card donated by Roger and Carolyn Erickson, was drafted by Toronto in 1984 in the fourth round as the fourth pick overall. Iafrate topped 20-plus goals three times in his career — his best coming in 1992-93 when he was with the Washington Capitals. He scored 66 points (41 assists) and 169 penalty minutes in 81 games. He was named to the All-Star roster in 1990.
