#16 George Robinson played for the Tacoma Rockets during the 1947-48 season as well as the St. Paul Saints, and had a goal in 12 games with the New Haven Ramblers, the farm team of the New York Rangers. In his 40 games with the Rockets, Robinson scored 13 goals, had nine assists and finished with 22 points as Tacoma made the playoffs. The Rockets were a professional team that played in Tacoma from 1946 to 1953. Tacoma played in the Pacific Coast Hockey League until becoming a member of the Western Hockey League during the 1952-53 season and relocating to the Tacoma Ice Palace.
