Description

This is a red Tacoma Tides button with the team’s logo, a blue wave and a white soccer ball with one red panel and five blue panels. The Tacoma Tides played one season (1976) in the American Soccer League, finishing second in the West Division, beating the Utah Golden Spikes in the playoff quarterfinals 2 games to 1 before losing to the Los Angeles Skyhawks 2 games to 1 in the semifinals. Bruce Arena was a backup goalkeeper for the Tides. Arena went on to become coach of the United States men's national team.
