Description

The Tacoma Stars played their inaugural season in the Major Indoor Soccer League during the 1983-84 campaign. The Stars, coached by Bob McNab and Freddie Goodwin, finished with a 22-26 record, finishing fifth out of six teams in the Western Division. Stadium High graduate Mark Peterson played 43 matches for the Stars that season, scoring a team-high 38 goals. John Baretta was Tacoma's No. 1 goalkeeper that season, playing in 34 matches. Baretta went on to become the soccer coach at Stadium High School.
