Description

Andy Devine, a famous actor who played in several popular cowboy movies, was a guest speaker at a Tacoma Athletic Commission's Sports Hall of Fame banquet in the 1960s. Devine, with his cracky and raspy voice, is best remembered for his role as Cookie, the sidekick of Roy Rogers in 10 cowboy movies. Devine appeared in over 400 films. Over the years, the TAC has had famous people speak at their annual sports hall of fame induction banquet.
