Movie star Andy Devin (far left) and NBA all-star Jack Nichols (second from left) stand with three other men and pose for a black-and-white photo at the annual Tacoma Athletic Commission's annual hall of fame induction in the 1960s. After playing at the University of Washington, Nichols played nine seasons in the NBA, scoring 5,245 points in his career. He played on the Boston Celtics 1957 championship team. Devine, with his raspy voice, played in a number of cowboy movies and TV shows. He's best remembered for his role as Cookie, who was Roy Rogers sidekick in 10 cowboy movies. He also appeared in a movie with John Wayne and the Stagecoach in 1939 and the Man Who Shot Liberty.
