Here is a color photo of a Tacoma Athletic Commission's Sports Hall of Fame banquet's head table taken in the late 1960s or the early 1970s. In 1969, Walt Hagedorn, Dick Greco, Jack Sonntag and Lou Balsano were among 24 inducted into the Tacoma-Pierce County Sports Hall of Fame. Greco is the most prolific home hitter from Tacoma. In 12 minor league seasons from 1946 to 1957, he hit 333 home runs. Sonntag, a 1955 Stadium High School graduate, was a standout high school athlete and became a successful coach. His long and successful coaching career was highlighted by the 1975 Foss High School football team that won a state championship and was undefeated.Relationships
