Actor Hugh O'Brien and NFL quarterback Joe Namath (to the left with a mustache) were special guests at a Tacoma Athletic Commission's Hall of Fame induction gathering in 1965. O'Brien was best known for his starring roles in the popular TV series, The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp from 1955 to 1961. Namath was the popular quarterback who led the New York Jets to a 16-7 upset win over the Baltimore Colts in the 1969 Super Bowl III. It remains as the Jets only Super Bowl appearance.
