In this photo taken in 1963, there's Bud Ward, Joe Brown, Dr. Herm Dahl, Chuck Congdon and Jack Walters. Congdon was the club pro at the Tacoma Country Club from 1935 to 1965. In 1936 and again in 1938, Congdon won the Pacific Northwest PGA Championship. Then 25 years later, Congdon won the Pacific Northwest PGA Championship again in 1963. Like Congdon, Walters had a knack for endurance. Walters won the Pacific Northwest lefties title an impressive 16 times. The hard-hitting lefty won his first club championship in 1936 and his last in 1967.
