Mac Wilkins participating in the 1976 Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon. Wilkins attended Clover Park High before moving to Beaverton to finish High School and going on to become an Oregon sports legend. He won an NCAA discus title for the Oregon Ducks. He won gold at the 1976 Olympics, silver in 1984 and finished fifth in ‘88. Team USA boycotted the 1980 Olympics in the Soviet Union. He broke the world record four times in his career, with his best throw (70.98 meters) coming in 1980.
