They were longtime supporters of the TAC. For 75 years, the Tacoma Athletic Commission has supported youth and recreation sports in Tacoma and has raised $6 in support of local sports. With the support of the Tacoma Athletic Commission, the Tacoma Pierce County Sports Museum, the Tacoma Pierce County Sports Hall of Fame, the Tacoma Pierce County Softball-Baseball Old Timers and the Washington State Sports Hall of Fame have functioned and been part of the community. Each year, the Tacoma Athletic Commission awards the Athlete of the Year awards in 23 sports at 34 high schools with Columbia Bank as its sponsor.Lexicon
