Maury Arnovich (left) and Herm Reich (right) hold young boy. Arnovich played seven years in the major leagues, mainly with the Philadelphia Phillies of the National League. Reich played in the major leagues for just three games in 1949 but played a total of 16 years in the minor leagues. He played for the Tacoma Tigers of the Western International League in 1939, played for Yakima in the Northwest League in 1955-56 and with Eugene in 1956, his final season in professional baseball. The majority of his career was spent in the Pacific Coast League with Portland and Sacramento. Herm and Maury were both stationed at Fort Lewis when this photo was taken.
