Description

Dill Howell, a longtime sports supporter in Tacoma, stands at the counter of his Tacoma store, Howell Sporting Goods. He opened the store in 1936. Howell was key in keeping semi-pro baseball going in Tacoma. He always helped teams with baseballs, uniforms, bats and gloves. Because of his commitment the Tacoma Pierce County Baseball-Softball Oldtimers Association presents an annual award named after him.
