The Tatoosh Range rises in the background as a skier rides a rope tow up Alta Vista in Mount Rainier National Park. Paradise was once home to a small ski area, one of the few located inside a national park. The ski area is long gone, although skiers and snowboarders still frequent the area. Now they must hike to get in their turns. Alta Vista, a small hill above Paradise, is a popular destination for hikers. The only national parks that still have functioning ski lifts are Olympic and Yosemite.Made/Created
