Description

Stadium High graduate Chuck Richards accepts the gold medal at the 1970 Modern Pentathlon National Champions in Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. It was the first of three consecutive national titles that culminated with a trip to the 1972 Olympics in Munich, Germany. He finished ninth at the 1972 Games. Modern pentathlon requires competing in swimming, running, shooting, equestrian show jumping and fencing.
