With 10 friends and fellow golfers watching, Bart Hogeberg is in full backswing as he's practices teeing off at a driving range. In this photo taken in the 1950s, Hogeberg is demonstrating how to use an auto-teeing device he invented. Hogeberg's device is a golf ball teeing machine. It automatically placed a ball in teed position for driving after each time a ball is struck. It's suppose to increase frequency in swinging and thereby help a golfer improve.Lexicon
