In this black-and-white photo of four men standing and holding a glass of white wine, Jack Walters is on the left and Frank Ruffo is on the right. Walters is considered to be the best left-handed golfer of his time. He golfed 35 years, golfing from 1932 to 1967. He won the Pacific Northwest lefties title an impressive 16 times and the Western States' championship twice. Ruffo played in the Industrial League for 12 years with the Cammarano Bros., in the city league. In 1937, he played on the Johnson Paint team in Shelton placed fifth at nationals in Wichita, Kansas. Walters and Ruffo have booth been inducted into the Tacoma-Pierce County Sports Hall of Fame.
