Description

Still, who was born in Tacoma in 1935, joined the PGA Tour full time in 1960 and played on the tour for 23 years. Five months after he graduated from Clover Park High School in 1953, he turned pro part time and then in 1960 joined the PGA full time. Still won three PGA tournaments, winning two in 1969 and one in 1970. He died on March 19, 2017, which was the last day of the Arnold Palmer Invitational that was played in Orlando, Florida. That was the first PGA Tour event Still won – 48 years prior. A gregarious Still developed close friendships with Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus in the early 1960s and never lost touch.
