Ken Still, seen in a black and white photograph posed with his golf bag bearing his name, played at the Fircrest Golf Club in Tacoma. Still put together an incredible career while on the PGA Tour for 23 years. Still joined the tour in 1960 and won three events all by 1970 when he and partner claimed the CBS Golf Classic. His best finish was in the 1970 U.S. Open when he finished fifth. He had three top 25 finishes in that event during his career. Still made the cut five times in nine U.S. Open attempts. At the 1971 Masters Tournament, Still came from behind on the final day to put himself in contention. He finished with a 69-under, his best score of the tournament, to finished tied for sixth overall. Overall, Still played in six Masters, 13 U.S. Opens and seven PGA Championships. Still also competed for the U.S. on the Ryder Cup with Dave Hill and Lee Trevino as partners. Still finished his playing career on the Senior Tour for 11 seasons. He was induced into the Washington State Sports Hall of Fame in 2005. Photo donated by Ken Still.
