Members of the Stanley's Shoeman baseball team that won the 1956 American Amateur Baseball Congress (AABC) national championship in Battle Creek, Michigan, pose for a team picture. Stanley's Shoeman, coached by Doug McArthur and sponsored by Stan Naccarato and Morley Brotman, finished with a 50-11 record after winning their final 13 games to claim state, regional and national titles, playing in three states and traveling 3,688 miles. Dale Bloom was the winning pitcher for all three national tournament games.
