Jim Rondeau refereed boxing matches on the amateur level to pro world championship fights for decades. In the early 1970s, he reffed the world heavyweight championship fight between George Foreman and Ken Norton. From 1946 to 1968, Rondeau refereed every Gold Gloves tournament in Tacoma, Seattle and Portland. In 1966, he was elected vice president of the International Boxing Federation and served for 15 years. He has been inducted into the Washington State Boxing Hall of Fame, the Pacific Northwest Boxing Hall of Fame and the Tacoma-Pierce County Sports Hall of Fame.Lexicon
