Here is a team photo of the 1974 U.S. boxing team that boxed in the National Games held in New York City in 1974. The team lined up inside the ring for the photo. Jim Rondeau, who grew up in Bremerton and lived in Tacoma, was there refereeing the National Games and he donated the photo. He traveled the world refereeing boxing matches between some of the most famous names in the sport. His most famous match he refereed was between George Foreman and Ken Norton in 1974. The heavyweight championship fight took place in Caracas, Venezuela. Before the fight, Foreman had requested an English speaking referee, which led to a dispute. A few minutes before the fight an agreement was reached and Rondeau entered the ring. Foreman won in two rounds.
