Description

Jim Rondeau, a world renowned boxing referee from the Northwest, is pictured here on the left seated with boxing officials in Tokyo. From 1970 to 1974, Rondeau refereed four title bouts in Japan. After that he was the third man in the ring for George Foreman's heavyweight title fight against Ken Norton in Caracas, Venezuela. Venezuelan officials initially balked at Rondeau's participation, but he entered the ring three minutes before the fight that Foreman won with a second-round knockout.
