Description

Jim Rondeau, as the first vice president of I.B.F., meets with Ferdinand Marcos, the president of the Philippines in 1984. Rondeau grew up in Bremerton and his father was a professional boxer, but he didn't want his son to box. From1946 to 1968, Rondeau refereed every Golden Gloves tournament in Tacoma, Seattle and Portland. Rondeau also refereed many world championship bouts and officiated many local fights with top ranked heavyweights Pat McMurty, Boone Kirkman and Jerry Quarry.
