Description

Four members of the Lakewood Curling Club, wearing Scottish tams, pose with curling stones and brooms at the Lakewood Ice Arena. The curling club was one of many popular sports played at the rink including hockey and figure skating. The ice arena was the entertainment hub from its opening in 1938 until 1982 when part of the building collapsed and the rest was demolished. Photo donated by Al and Ina Becker.
