Description

In1949, Len Kupchak of Vancouver, B.C., waits for his opponent to get up. In the stands, Ben Bock is at ringside just to the right of the boxer's shoe on the canvas. Boxing was a popular sport in Tacoma in the 1940s as the city started the Golden Gloves in 1949 and it became an annual event. Photographer by Rhiny Wilhelm.
