Huard had 14 year football career in the National Football League, where he was a part of two Super Bowl championships as the backup to Tom Brady with the New England Patriots in both 2001 and 2003. Huard replaced Billy Joe Hobert at quarterback for the Puyallup High School Vikings, where Huard went on to be named the Powerade State Player of the Year and All-American in 1990. He red-shirted his freshman year at the University of Washington Huskies backup quarterback Billie Joe Hobert, and Mark Brunell, who was the team’s starting quarterback; that year the Huskies won Pac-10 championship, the Rose Bowl and were named the national champions alongside the University of Miami Hurricanes.
