Description

Boxers train at the Starlight A.C. gym, which was located at 1114 1/2 Market Street in Tacoma, in 1949. Dave Davey, left, spars with Pat McMurtry. Other boxers in the photo include Virgil Larson, Ritchie Reed, Mike McMurtry, and Ruggles Larson. Davey posted a 33-5-2 record with 11 knockouts. "Irish" Pat McMurtry posted a 33-4-1 record with 25 knockouts.
