Description

Al Brightman played AAU with the Cheney Studs basketball team, a competitive team created by Tacoma legend Ben Cheney. Brightman played college basketball for Long Beach State and the University of Charleston during the 1940's. Between 1946-1948, Brightman played for the Boston Celtics and Seattle Athletics before venturing on a 21 year coaching career.
