Description

Heavyweight boxing champion Rocky Marciano, on the right, pretends to punch Jack Kearns, a fight promoter, on the chin. Marciano held the heavyweight boxing title for four years from 1952 to 1956 and he is the only boxing champion to retire undefeated. Known for his relentless fighting style, he had six successful title defenses. Kearns, who was nicknamed “Doc” and lived in Washington, was most famous for managing Jack Dempsey, the world heavyweight champ from 1919 to 1926.
