Description

This image on a postcard is of the Vermont House at the Shelburne Museum. This building was an interpretation by Mrs. Webb, of an early captains home put together with various materials. The most historically significant to Shelburne is the wall stone as it was the stone used to build one of the early mills located at Shelburne Falls, Shelburne just North of the bridge on Falls Road. The Shelburne Historical Society has a digital image provided by the Shelburne Museum who has the original postcard.
