A note about the caption on the cover - (From Paul Irish, 21 Jun 2024, "Just was looking for pix to put into Powerpoint and saw the label on catalogit... this is the 175th anniversary (either my grandmother or aunt mislabeled it...It was in 1938. I know because my dad was born in 1928 and he is in the balcony.) Context

This original report was prepared for the Shelburne Historic Preservation Commission by Brian L. Knight, Historic Preservation Consultant, with the assistance of a matching grant from the Vermont Division for Historic Preservation through the U.S. Department of the Interior. A paper and digital copy of this report was in the possession of the Shelburne Historical Society placed in a single pocket folder along with a CD with a copy of the report. Dorothea Penar also had a digital copy of the report in addition to other associated materials. A Shelburne Historical Society project in January 2023 took these printed resources and organized them into an indexed 3-ring binder and collected the digital resources and organized them similar to the binder. The Society now has a physical copy and archived digital copy of this information. Each transcribed interview has been posted here.
