A grey roofing slate 18"x12" was found on the ground under the eaves of the north end of the garage of the Spear Home on Shelbure Road, 4 May 2026, picked up by David Boucher.Context
The age of the slate is unknown, but at some point the roofing slate was torn off, some left as drip gravel next to the north side of the building, and replaced with asphalt shingles. There is a chance that these were original shingles though the home was built in 1803 and shingle supplies at that period are unknown.Lexicon
