Description

Moulded circular ceramic ashtray with brown, orange and white glazing. Rim of central depressed area has a cut-out at each compass point to rest a cigarette. Inside base of ashtray is free-hand glazed with a brown quatrefoil motif, centered with a white area, and background filled in with orange glaze. Sides are brown with speckled white/brown glazing. A brown-glazed wide lip below rim of ashtray has raised lettering: "Island Furniture Mart Sidney, 656-3724. Undersides of lip and ashtray brown-glazed; base unglazed, with three cork furniture protector dots applied.
