Medium-sized auger with square shaft turning into cylindrical shaft leading to bit. [Possibly a bowsprit auger according to Peter Garnham]. Middle of cylindrical shaft marked "S. Glo [?] … & Co. [unreadable]. Cylindrical wooden cross handle a later addition.
