Description

Rectangular churn, base constructed of cast metal (unknown.) with rectangular metal container fitted on to base, this container has a two - piece wooden lid (wood probably hardwood.) Lids fit on top of the metal 'box' allowing the 'blades' of the churn to be covered. The gear wheels are of cast metal - the largest turns with a wooden handle. Paddle blades are wood, patched with nails. MARKS & INSCRIPTIONS: In raised lettering on cast metal "233 W" & "DAZEY CHURN & MFG. CO. ST. LOUIS MO" "PAT'D DEC 19, 1917." 2341 Stamped on bottom of frame.
