Anscomark M camera a) and case b). Introduced by Ansco circa 1960, this 35mm rangefinder camera was actually manufactured by Ricoh and also sold in Japan as the Ricoh 999. An internal leaf shutter is mated to a special lens mount accepting optional 35mm or 100mm lenses, for which viewfinder framelines are included. The camera's nameplate[marked "Anscomark M"] flips up [with difficulty on this camera] to reveal a selenium meter coupled to each lens's aperture, for match-needle exposure determination. The body has a bottom-mounted film advance, and an odd triangular shutter release. The angular styling seems aimed at the tastes of the American market.
