Description

Baby dress of fine white muslin. Highwaisted with short puffed sleeves. Bodice has a 'V' shaped eyelet insert. Skirt gathered into bodice. Seams are hand stitched. Narrow eyelet edging around neckline, sleeves and hem. Placket opening at centre back - base reinforced with buttonhole stitch. Fastens at neck and bottom of bodice with drawstring ties. Centre front panel of skirt has a false overskirt attached to the centre panel seams. Edges of both sides of these pieces are embroidered in a similar manner as skirt hem. French seams on inside of dress skirt.
