Metal "Black Cat" cigarette tin, rectangular, shallow, with hinged lid. So-called "flat fifty" tin, for the number of cigarettes it held. Top and sides finished with pale blue, with outer white and inner, narrow gold border. Underside has gold finish. Lid has circular "Black Cat" logo in upper left area (a black-and-white photographic image of a black cat) and, in lower right area "Black Cat" (in black)/Virginia Cigarettes (in white)". In a gold banner across lower edge of lid. In black cursive writing is "Extra Mild - Quality Superfine". Partial excise stamp on both top of lid and underside. In the hinge are is printed "Factory No. 6 Made in Canada Port 13D". Inside base unfinished silver metal. Inside lid is finished and printed with information, including the name of the manufacturer, "Carreras Limited".Acquisition
