Description

Can label -- front -- red print on blue background "Saanich Brand Whole Butter Clams" -- between "Saanich" and "Whole" is a picture of three tasty clams. On top and bottom of label is a red and yellow border. Back -- on top of outline of Saanich Peninsula is "Fancy Quality Canned Goods, Saanich Brand". In red circle also on rear is "Packed by B.C. Packers Ltd. Vancouver, B.C. Packed at Saanich". Also says "these clams are already cooked and it is only necessary to bring to a boiling heat and season to taste. Net weight 16 ozs. Drained weight 6 ozs". A raised "C" is stamped on the top if the tin for history of cannery see card # 975.1.16. This can is from after they sold it to B.C. Packers.
