Large, very heavy Kraft paper storage bag, intended to protect clothing and household furnishings against moths. Top opening closed with metal rod which threads through holes in upper edge, which is then folded over and secured by a plated metal sleeve that slides across the rod-reinforced fold. Inside, rod is reinforced by fabric attached to paper and a wire hanger is suspended from the rod with a loop of similar fabric. Central wire hanging loop on sleeve, with black cord knotted through it. Large paper label shows two illustrations of bag, one cutaway, to show items stored and one with bag closed. The cutaway illustration has a pencilled "30" beside it, the other illustration has "50" . The label has much printed information, including: "THE PAIGE/MOTH PROOF BAGS/PATENTED AUGUST 13th, 1892" and 'MANUFACTURED ONLY BY/KILGOUR BROS., Limited. Toronto, Ont."Acquisition
