Coal scuttle (sometime skuttle) or coal hod, coal pail, coal bucket, in two parts of galvanized steel. Circular base, with one area of applied container slanted to form a wide spout with sides. Finished with rolled rim. Applied lug on either side of seam for wire bail handle. Applied cup-shaped handle on back of scuttle.
