Description

Circular bronze [?] copper [?] commemorative medallion, presented to Canadian school children to mark the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, June 3rd, 1953. Obverse: raised right-facing bust of the crowned Queen Elizabeth, wearing a necklace and strings of pearls, bow on each shoulder. Reverse: raised Elizabeth II cypher, crowned, with "CANADA" below. Around edge, the legend "ELIZABETH II REGINA CORONATA MCMLIII"
