Description

Spun [?] aluminium corn popper consisting of lid and container a) Wooden handle with crank at end attached to top of popper turns two gears at top centre of popper, which turns stirring bar inside, moving corn kernels and preventing them from sticking on bottom. Lid consists of two metal semicircles attached to central metal bar by hinges, allowing for easy filling and emptying of popper. Small silver sticker on central bar reads [with great difficulty] “…/REPUBLIC OF CHINA”. One semicircle of lid reads “R.S.V.P.’S/PERFECT POPPER TM/Seattle. WA 98103” in raised lettering. Other semicircle has a small hole, presumably for allowing steam to escape. Lid attaches to main part of popper by inserting tongues on either end of bar into holes in spring flanges attached to sides of popper. b) Aluminum pail-shaped container has rolled rim.
