Description

Pair of curling tongs with wooden handles and metal tongs. Wood unknown - hardwood - metal ends to handles - possibly brass, tongs themselves of metal - dark, in places silver in colour, light rust visible. When closed one side of tongs is curved and fits against the other side which is completely cylindrical. A bent stip of metal secured into either handle and then down towards the tongs themselves acts as a spring. Marks & inscriptions: stamped onto tongs (metal) "PAT OCT 6, 91."
